Support Handmade Movement
The brainchild of ‘The Exclusive’ is to motivate and to inspire a community of artisans to tap into their creativity to share arts and crafts in this central space, 'Support Handmade Movement'; an avenue for one to be exploratory and taking ownership of their talents to becoming small business owners.
With the advancement of technology and the ascendancy of chain store culture, the appreciation of the skills and craftsmanship are justly lacking in this world of large-scale manufacturing.
Handmade is the expression and voice from the hearts of our artisans. The love for their art and immense passion concoct the culture of Handmade Movement. Every product is exquisitely made through personalized touch and care; such exclusivity and attention cannot be replicated in mass. Indeed, it is one-of-a-kind.
Support creativity by being a pledger and participator of this movement today!
The application is now open for artisans and crafters to sell their arts and designs that are handmade locally through us at a designated venue. To know more about the launch, you can write to us at xclsvclub389@gmail.com.

Fashion Spotlight
The Paper Bag Craze; Fashion Statement
It was the craze back in the late 1990s. Luxury labels such as MCM, Trussardi, Hunting World, Sonia Rykiel were popular with the students. Apart from their apparels and accessories, carrying the paper shopping bag with its logo eventually manifested as a trend.
Teenagers used it to carry their school things and sports gear in designer shopping bags, broadcasting their social standing distinctly. It is a display of their ability to afford these luxury labels. Needless to say, the more upscale the better.
It is no longer passé in Tokyo, the fashion capital in Asia. In fact, teens are found toting around luxury shopping bag in Harajuku, Japan’s famous teen stomping grounds. Yes, luxury labels such as Prada and Cecil McBee etc. The bags are used to hold drinks, gym gears, make up case, magazine and lunchbox.
According to IHT, 'The paper bags actually constitute a market, and have been auctioned on the Internet for as much as ¥2,000 for a large-size Louis Vuitton paper bag. A Cecil McBee shopping bag, whose eye-catching logo is often emblazoned in gold — sells for as much as ¥800.'
Trend and the meaning of the shopping bag syndrome aside, the bag itself is a reminiscence of your shopping indulgence.

It is a breakthrough that the leading color for fall this season is Fuchsia. Saturated pink shades namely Fuchsia and Magenta are suddenly haute and will be marketed as a key color!
Fuchsia, the leading color for fall in both womenswear and menswear are now cropping up in all sorts of unexpected places, including building exteriors, sofas, shoes and iPhones. Bring it closer to home, pink shades has tip-toed into the gadget industry. For instance, phone model such as LG KF350 ICE CREAM is encased with a pink exterior, inducing a new style.
"Pink, is said to represent a certain playfulness and confidence, particularly in men, according to Simon Maloney, head of buying and production for shirt maker Thomas Pink.
Sarah Whittaker, an image consultant known professionally as the "wardrobe shrink," says “Fuchsia can be quite acidic, and so the wearer can appear arrogant or like they are flaunting themselves. Redder tones such as magenta can be more respectful, noting that such colors work well on people with strong coloring, such as dark eyes and hair.”

FASHION SPOTLIGHT
Fashion is now available to the plus-sized population; round-figured teenagers and young women can now be trend driven as her slimmer counterparts.
Forever 21, in the United States, have introduced its plus-sized line, Faith 21, this spring. It's objectives are meeting the customers' request for larger sizes and filling the void in the market for trendy plus-size clothing. Others that have picked up the message are hip niche labels like Karen Kane and Kiyona, which are sold at boutiques.
